Proge-Software is the winner of the CityNext Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award 2014 – Italy.
This award, received at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, is an important recognition of excellence expressed by Proge-Software in delivering innovative solutions for Smart Cities. CityNext is in fact the name given by Microsoft to the program that aims to evolve towns, improving city functions with innovative solutions that take advantage of new technologies.
Proge-Software is constantly working alongside Microsoft in delivering targeted solutions to make easier the use of resources on the part of the citizen and to rethink the relationship between citizens and administrations, thanks to the optimal use of next generation technologies (Cloud, Mobile, Social Enterprise, Big Data).
Among the projects carried out by Proge-Software in 2014 as part of CityNext, stand out certainly those related to Health Care. In particular the project SIM (Multimedia Integration Development), developed in collaboration with Università Campus Bio-Medico of Rome and NITEL, intended to provide a tool for use in sterile areas of Operating Rooms, which allows the surgeon to see and control biomedical images in touchless mode, using Microsoft Kinect for Windows avoiding any contact with the equipment.
“We are proud to be the winners of a prize linked to modernization as the Microsoft CityNext Country Partner of the Year Award” said Marco Meneo, General Manager of Proge-Software. “Our business strategy is, in fact, centered on the ongoing commitment to create value through innovation. Proge-Software and Microsoft continue to work side by side to develop solutions that can contribute to the evolution of the interaction between citizens and resources”.
